There are unfortunately a lot of creative people out there who will go to extreme measures to take advantage of honest people’s personal information and hard-earned money. While it is unfortunately impossible to guarantee 100% protection, we want to help you take steps to reduce your chances of ending up in this situation.

Join us for a workshop to learn about identity theft, fraud, and scams. We’ll talk about what to be on guard against, how to protect yourself, and steps to take if – despite your best efforts – you experience this.

Webinar Details:
– Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2026
– Time: 11AM
– Speaker: Gina Garcia, VP of Business Development, First City Credit Union

What You Will Learn:
– What identity theft, fraud, and scams are
– Commonly used elder fraud tactics
– Ways to protect yourself

Who Should Attend:
– Anyone who uses the internet
– Anyone who uses debit cards, credit cards, and checking accounts
– Those who want to keep their personal information from landing in the wrong hands

About the Speaker: Gina Garcia is Vice President of Business Development at First City Credit Union and brings more than 25 years of experience in the credit union movement. She leads financial wellness, community engagement, and strategic partnership initiatives that support LA County employees, retirees, students, and local communities. Dear RELAC Members,

Retirement may have changed our daily routines, but it hasn’t changed the experience, knowledge, and leadership we bring to our communities.

That’s why RELAC is proud to share the attached flyer about the Los Angeles County Management Council (LACMC) and the opportunities available to stay connected, share your expertise, and continue contributing beyond your County career.

Through LACMC, retired County managers, supervisors, executive staff, and leaders can continue to:

Stay connected with fellow County leaders and colleagues
Participate in meetings, educational programs, and special events
Share knowledge and experience with current and future County leaders
Continue learning and growing through leadership opportunities
Give back through mentorship, service, and community involvement

Your experience still matters. Your voice still matters.

And your leadership still has a place.

We encourage you to take a moment to review the flyer below and learn more about LACMC and how you can remain connected and involved.

After all, retirement is not the end of leadership—it’s the beginning of giving back.

Thank you for the years you dedicated to Los Angeles County and for the continued difference you make in our community.

Warmly,

RELAC Team
