The Retired Employees of Los Angeles County (RELAC) is proud to announce its endorsement of James Brekk for the LACERA Board of Investments.
James Brekk brings more than 30 years of service to LACERA and extensive experience in technology, cybersecurity, executive leadership, and pension administration. RELAC believes his knowledge and commitment make him well qualified to serve on the Board of Investments and help protect the long-term financial security of LACERA members.

Paper ballots mailed: No later than July 31, 2026
Email voting credentials sent: August 3, 2026, to eligible members with a valid email address
Voting methods: Online, telephone, or mail
Voting period: August 3–28, 2026

We are excited to say that RELAC is holding its First Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament on October 26, 2026, at the Lakewood Golf Course!  In addition to creating scholarship opportunities for our local youth, proceeds will also support veterans and military families through vital programs and resources in our community.
Every contribution directly supports students’ futures and strengthens the safety net for those who have served.  You can make a difference by sponsoring a hole, team, or contest.

Campaign Announcement!
 
RELAC Family, 
We are halfway through 2026, and we wanted to take a moment to say thank you and show you exactly what your support has made possible.
Because of donors like you, March of Dimes has shown up for moms, babies, and families during some of the most critical moments of their lives.
Here is what you made possible in 2026:

Helped nearly 25,000 families through NICU Family Support
March of Dimes-funded preterm birth research has resulted in more than 40 scientific publications
Our advocacy has addressed more than 71 policies or bills that increase access to care for moms and babies

The momentum continues:
This progress is real.  And it is because of you.
But halfway through the year, the needs of moms and babies do not pause.
In the U.S., 1 in 10 babies is born preterm.  Two women still die from pregnancy-related causes every day.  5.5 million women still live in areas with little or no access to maternity care.
