We collect information that you provide directly when you use our website. This could include your contact information (such as your name, postal address, e-mail address, and telephone number), and other information that you provide.
We utilize Google Analytics to compile data about your device and your interaction with the site. Examples of PII collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information and search terms.

As a membership organization, it’s vital for us to have our members’ current contact information (e.g., address, phone, and e-mail) to provide member benefits and to conduct business. We will ask for your contact information when you first become a member.
Section 3: Information We Share
We do not sell your information. We share your information with others as you permit or as required by law. For example, we share the data you include in an online membership application with the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA) so that LACERA can deduct your RELAC membership dues from your retirement allowance. We would also share your data for legal, regulatory or compliance purposes, or to respond to court orders and legal investigations, if any.
Section 4: Information Protection
Protecting your information while you visit our website is important to us. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees, directors and contractors, if any, who need to know. Please note that although we make every effort to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
Section 5: Interest Based Advertising
We do not partner with third party advertising networks to serve RELAC advertisements when you visit other sites across the Internet.
Section 6: Children’s Privacy
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act imposes certain requirements on operators of websites directed to children under 13 years of age and on operators of websites that have actual knowledge that they are collecting personal information online from a child under 13. We have a general audience and do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from persons younger than 13.
Section 7: Applicability of California Consumer Privacy Laws
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) apply to for-profit businesses that do business in California and meet certain revenue and client thresholds. RELAC is incorporated in the State of California as a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation. As such, it is not subject to the CCPA or CPRA.

We may amend this privacy notice at any time. Please review it periodically. Any changes are effective upon our posting of the revised privacy notice. Your use of our website following any such change constitutes acceptance.
